Below is a brief description of all yearly events and activities. Each event will have chairperson(s) assigned.
Volunteer opportunities are always needed and appreciated!

FUN RUN: This is the main fundraising event for the PTA each school year! The students ask for donations in support of their run on our SPE track. Every penny raised goes to PTA and all money is given back to students and teachers! We encourage all families to participate by collecting donations, volunteering to help and cheering the kids on at the run! *Friday, October 19th during ½ day of school

FALL FAMILY FEST: Replacing “Boo Bash” the NEW FALL FESTIVAL will be held at The Clarkston Family Farm. We will enjoy farm games, cider & donuts and a movie under the stars! *September 28th

DONUTS WITH DADS: Students enjoy sitting with Dad before school, or any other special person…eating donuts and catching up with some quality time! *March 7th & 8Th

MUFFINS WITH MOMS: Students enjoy sitting with Mom before school, or any other special person…eating donuts and catching up with some quality time! *November 15th & 16th

SCHOOL FAIR: The fair is a fun time for students to play games, earn prizes and eat goodies! Oakland County Sheriffs come and take people to the SPE jail. Win a goldfish, compete in the cake walk and so much more! Classrooms compete to fill themed-baskets for our basket raffle. Don’t miss out on the silent auction during the fair, where all proceeds again go back to SPE PTA. *March 2nd

VARIETY SHOW: Let the students and their talent shine! In the Variety Show, students can sing, dance or act or show off any other talent that makes them shine like a star! *April 26th

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION: Future kindergarten students get a chance to explore the classrooms, meet the principal, and teachers at SPE. A whole new school family awaits them, and orientation is a time for not just the kids to see how things look – but for parents to take in some great information about what to expect for their kindergartner this year!

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK: The teachers and staff at SPE work hard all year to support our students, so we want to show them our appreciation for all they do! Throughout the week we give thanks in many different ways! *May 6th

FIFTH GRADE CELEBRATION: The graduating 5th graders and their families celebrate their achievements in a fun celebration. An awards program and reception designed to celebrate their successes while at SPE. *June 6th

FIELD DAY: An entire day planned to get the students outside and moving! They enjoy water balloon toss, gaga ball game, hoola-hooping, tug-o-war, sack race and other events! The 5th graders compete in a very big tug-o-war with each class and also the teachers! You don’t want to miss this! They top the day off with yummy Kona Ice! *May 29th

P/T CONFERENCES: During conferences, the PTA supports the teachers by providing dinner on Parent/Teacher conference nights.

PASSIVE FUNDRAISING: SPE PTA earns money for our school from passive fundraising. These programs offer opportunities for our school to earn year round cash that goes directly back to our students. We participate in many programs. Please see directions on how to participate, HERE! Information comes home about this as well, so be on the lookout! It’s an easy WIN-WIN! *Everyday!
